CEC implemented the Safety Excellence Awards in 2017 to recognize CEC offices for their proactive efforts in improving corporate safety culture and safety performance by completion of required safety training, project planning, and safe performance of projects.
This was our third year of the competition. The award for Small Offices (<100,000 man-hours) was presented to CEC Monroeville. The award for Large Offices (100,000+ man-hours) was presented to CEC Nashville. Both were first-time recipients of the award.
The winning scores are calculated based on a combination of leading and lagging indicators. CEC Monroeville and CEC Austin had both scored a perfect 100 in the Large Office category. Monroeville won the tiebreaker for more man-hours worked.

- 2017: CEC Philadelphia (Small Office) and CEC Columbus (Large Office)
