Two projects in the Nashville, Tennessee area recently earned awards for their excellence, and CEC Nashville is proud to have provided services for both projects.
Harpeth Square, an upscale mixed-use development in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee, along the Harpeth River, earned an Excellence in Development Award by the Urban Land Institute Nashville District Council. Harpeth Square includes a luxury hotel, 150 apartments, 18,000 square feet of retail and office space, and a parking garage with nearly 600 spaces. CEC provided civil engineering, permitting, LEED certification, and quality assurance services for this project, which was nearly a decade in the making.

Another project CEC worked on, TownePlace Suites near downtown Nashville, was awarded an Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors, Greater Tennessee Chapter.
The 10-story hotel is on a 0.38-acre parcel and was constructed above four combined sewers, two of which are over nine feet in diameter, 150-year-old brick sewers installed at a shallow depth. CEC provided civil engineering, survey, traffic, environmental, landscape architecture, permitting, and quality assurance services for this Midtown Nashville hotel.
