Federal and state wetlands permitting programs require assessments of wetlands values and functions in the evaluation of mitigation proposals.

An assessment is required to determine the wetland classification and impacts of the proposed project.

CEC’s wetlands specialists are trained and experienced in completing Wetlands Evaluation Technique (WET), Habitat Evaluation Procedure (HEP), and the Hydrogeomorphic Method (HGM) analyses as part of wetlands permitting efforts.

WET and HEP analysis are also typically required by the regulatory agencies to determine the extent and type of mitigation required for permit approval.
