CEC conducts informal consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and state agencies to determine the scope of work necessary to identify and address construction and operation activities of various projects related to species and habitats of concern. We routinely submit inquiries to federal and state agencies regarding the status of threatened and endangered species under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 and applicable state regulations. |
Our personnel have experience in studies to determine life history and habitat requirements, identify preferred habitats, determine the presence or absence of threatened and endangered species of plants and animals in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, West Virginia, and New Jersey, and offer mitigation alternatives, where appropriate. |
