Cumberland River Compact Presentations

October 14, 2018

Nashville team members participated in a number of Cumberland River Compact (CRC) events. Steve Casey presented a webinar, “Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance,” to approximately 50 attendees across the country. Steve also presented a River Talk, “Stormwater Retrofits that Improve Water Quality and Enhance Science Education,” to approximately 30 people at the CRC in Nashville. On another occasion, Steve and Justin Bryan spoke at a one-day training workshop focused on trends in weather extremes and the need for adapting stormwater practices to address extremes in temperature and flow patterns. Anthony Brais and Rebekah Pomohaci hosted a booth at the Water for Life event in downtown Nashville, which was co-sponsored by the Cumberland River Compact and the Water Professionals Conference. CEC’s booth featured a hands-on learning experience about erosion and how vegetation helps protect stream banks.
