Air Quality Scientist

Here's What You'll Do:

As an Air Quality Project Scientist for Civil & Environmental Consultants, you will evaluate and quantify air emissions from proposed processes and equipment in support of state and federal permit applications. Job duties will include performing engineering calculations, compiling permit application documents, interacting with CEC managers and administrative personnel, coordinating with clients to obtain and understand project information, and communicating with regulatory agency personnel to understand regulatory requirements and submit appropriate information on behalf of CEC’s clients. 

Here's What You'll Need: 

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related field;
• 2 to 4 years' work experience in consulting, industry, or state or federal regulatory role;
• Experience with air emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, dispersion modeling, and pollution control technologies;
• Knowledge of PA, OH, WV regulations, and U.S. EPA air quality regulations;
• Knowledge of Clean Air Act major source preconstruction permitting requirements; and
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
