As a Civil 3D CADD Designer for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you'll conduct and participate in various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation specifications, and preparation of construction documentation and environmental plans as part of a project team. You'll assist in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications and coordinates with senior project designers on planning and scheduling requirements, utilize AutoCAD standards, prepare site layout plans of limited complexity (including proposed grading) with the direction provided being limited to basic design requirements, cross-sections and profiles, based on existing and proposed topography. You'll calculate quantities to be used in construction estimates, determine earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography, identify appropriate construction control systems on plans (i.e., baselines, stationing, control points, etc.) and prepare the same. You'll provide value-oriented design suggestions, review drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards. You'll use computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering analysis and presentations and maintain computer files which allow efficient access to project information required by other team members.
Here's What You'll Need:
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting;
• 5-12 years of experience;
• Civil 3D experience;
• Must be detail oriented;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
