Bio

Mr. Renwick has over 20 years of experience consulting in the solid waste, mining and environmental industries. Mr. Renwick has been the lead geologist for several large investigations for new mines and landfills or expansions to existing facilities, and has considerable experience with large scale environmental and geological due diligence  for acquisitions for mining and solid waste clients. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for the environmental compliance for solid waste facilities and mines, field investigations for greenfield developments and expansions, geotechnical and hydrogeological instrumentation deployment and data monitoring system management.

Mr. Renwick also has considerable experience with identification of new mineral sources for aggregate clients, and has run drilling programs to delineate the source and provide an estimation of the reserves available for mining.

Mr. Renwick has prepared, reviewed and/or managed numerous environmental due diligence assessments and compliance audits as site assessor, environmental professional, project manager or senior technical reviewer for mining and solid waste clients.

Prior to employment with CEC in 2013, Mr. Renwick spent three years working as a geologist with a drilling company in Chicago and has considerable knowledge of different types of drilling methods, equipment and techniques. He was also the site geologist for the Thornton Quarry Grout Curtain Project in Thornton, Illinois. This involved the coordination of the installation and data collection for the instrumentation system for the project including Inclinometers up to 500 feet deep, a groundwater monitoring system, and seismic monitoring.
