Rob Livermore

Mr. Livermore is a registered Geologist-in-Training, a Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer, a Certified Environmental Manager, and a Principal with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), where he serves as the corporate leader of the Mining Market Group. As a consulting organization, CEC focuses its operations on market groups with support from all of the firm’s multi-disciplined practices. As a market group leader, he is responsible for identifying trends and opportunities in the various Mining submarkets, as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies and initiatives for growing market share and revenues. Mr. Livermore uses his 35 years of experience, along with market knowledge and long-term client relationships, to guide CEC’s activities in the Mining market. This includes focusing on new practices/capabilities, strategic new hires, geographic expansion, and business development initiatives.

As a member of CEC’s Environmental Engineering and Sciences Practice, Mr. Livermore has directed numerous compliance audit and environmental assessments in the western U.S. for clients in mining, manufacturing, semiconductor, and power, as well as for developers and law firms. He has been responsible for developing technical teams, project execution, and report review and delivery for more than 50 environment, health, and safety (EHS) audits and compliance-related matters in the last few years. The majority of his recent work has been within the extractive industries, with a focus on environmental compliance and managing risks associated with the mining and metals sectors in North and South America. Mr. Livermore serves as the primary point of contact with the client and ownership team, key stakeholders, regulatory personnel, and external team members throughout the life of a project. He has regional experience in Europe, Africa, Indonesia, Latin America, the U.S., and Canada. In North America, he has been involved at gold, copper, molybdenum, lead/zinc, aggregate, and other mining assets.

Mr. Livermore is a longtime member of the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG); the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME); the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP); and the National Groundwater Association (NGWA). He represents CEC’s membership in the National Mining Association (NMA) and other state mining and aggregate associations.
