Owner Objective

Williams Operating MLP (formerly Access Midstream Partners, LP) was experiencing stream bank failure and stream erosion over the top of a previously installed natural gas pipeline in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

CEC Approach

CEC was contracted by Williams Operating MLP to analyze the stream failure and provide long term solutions for the pipeline crossing. The project began with a site visit from the project engineer and ecologist to review the existing conditions of the stream and pipeline crossing. A topographic survey was completed for use in the design, permitting, and construction processes. Natural stream channel design principals were utilized to ensure that the stream’s ecological functions and long term protection of the pipeline crossing are maintained. CEC’s work also included state and federal permitting, preparation of construction documentation, construction stake out, and construction monitoring.
