Water Resources

Clear solutions… An integrated approach to managing water

With expertise at all phases of the water cycle, our team can help advance your project with innovative and sustainable solutions. Our in-house water resources professionals have a full spectrum of skill sets and include engineers, landscape architects, ecologists, geomorphologists, geologists, GIS specialists, and environmental scientists able to tackle challenges at any point in your project’s lifecycle. We will work closely with you to understand your individual goals and develop feasible, innovative, and sustainable solutions that meet them.

An integrated approach to regulatory compliance

Both public and private sector organizations rely on CEC to balance regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship with their business objectives. Our regulatory expertise has allowed us to help our clients negotiate more appropriate permit conditions that focus on protecting natural resources while allowing development to continue.

Stormwater compliance

CEC is experienced working with regulatory authorities to develop effective stormwater compliance strategies. In fact, our professionals are respected by regulatory agencies and often serve as a technical resource. For example, we provide MS4 permit compliance assistance ranging from stormwater management program development to designing, bidding, and providing construction observation services for capital improvement projects. We also work closely with local governments to manage municipal stormwater and sanitary collection systems using new technologies and green infrastructure design.

Watershed restoration

We use a team approach to design and implement watershed restoration plans, collecting existing conditions data and developing comprehensive water quality and quantity models to aid in the identification and prioritization of restoration opportunities.

Wastewater treatment

Finally, our water resources team provides turnkey industrial wastewater treatment and compliance services for both new and retrofitted facilities, helping you determine an appropriate treatment technology or combination of technologies by conducting bench- and pilot-scale tests in our treatability laboratories or on site.
