Donna Oswald participated in the 2019 MS Best Dam Bike Tour from Pewaukee (outside Milwaukee) to Madison, WI with her team, The Misfits. This bike tour is one of the largest and most successful MS bike rides held each year with approximately 1,200 participants and hundreds of volunteers, raising over $1.3M annually. For this year’s bike ride, Donna raised over $1,500, with help from donations from CEC Chicago co-workers as well as family and friends, to contribute to the team fundraising total of over $7,000. Her team rode 110 miles through farmland and small towns, stopping for the night at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Yes, the dinosaur rode in costume and was one of the biggest fundraisers! Sometimes The Misfits looked forward to the unofficial (Bloody Mary) community rest stops more than the “official” rest stops!
