CEC Cleveland Educates Green Corps Interns

July 19, 2021

CEC Cleveland recently stopped by the Cleveland Botanical Garden to speak with Green Corps interns.

Our staff shared insights on his position and what environmental professionals do, helping to broaden the interns’ exposure to various employment paths and real-life solutions to environmental concerns. We also discussed trends in greenhouse gas emissions and also gave an overview of legislation that has impacted regulation.

Green Corps is hosting high school interns for six weeks this summer at Cleveland Botanical Garden in partnership with Youth Opportunities Unlimited of Cleveland. CEC was joined by other green practitioners, including engineers, air quality experts, urban farmers, urban planners, horticulturalists, arborists, social entrepreneurs, ecologists, and biologists, who discussed their fields with the interns.
