CEC Charlotte is pleased to welcome Todd Whittle to the team as a Principal in our waste management practice. Todd brings 30 years of diverse environmental engineering experience to our Charlotte office, where he will help foster continued growth across the solid waste market while establishing new client relationships in the Southeast and advancing the development of engineers in the practice.
Todd has extensive experience with landfills, transfer stations, and recycling centers, including design and permit changes, construction projects, and environmental compliance with numerous state environmental agencies throughout the United States. Over his career, Todd has assisted in designing and reviewing landfill horizontal and vertical expansions, cell and closure construction projects, gas systems and liquids management and treatment systems. In addition, Todd has spent the past several years working with regulatory agencies to help manage PFAS impacts on landfill leachate, groundwater, and surface water.
A member of the Solid Waste Association of North America, Todd has experience managing large-scale projects, including the more than $30 million closure of a landfill and the construction of a $10 million desulfurization facility for landfill gas. He also is an active participant with the National Waste & Recycling Association. Todd earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina.
