CEC Chicago is excited to welcome Brian Wozniak, P.E., to the team as Vice President and Office Lead. In his new role, Brian is leading CEC’s management team providing waste management, civil engineering, surveying, environmental, and air quality services. Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Syracuse University and has more than 20 years of field, industry, and consulting experience. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio.
Brian most recently served as Office Director for the Lombard office of Andrews Engineering. Before this position, he served as the operations manager and compliance engineer for a Chicago-area landfill, materials recycling operation, transfer station, organic and green waste composting facilities, and an uncontaminated soil fill operation. Brian’s diverse experience includes office leadership and relationship management, ensuring project quality, and achieving office revenue goals. His early career experience includes landfill construction and environmental remediation projects. Lastly, Brian currently serves as President of the Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals.
As we welcome Brian Wozniak as the new Chicago Office Lead, we also thank John Hock, who held the position for more than 11 years. John is one of CEC’s original Chicago office employees starting the office’s operations in 2001. He has been instrumental in the Chicago office’s development, growth, and success. We look forward to John’s continued service and success with CEC as he continues in his capacity as Vice President focusing on client service and development activities for our Solid Waste market in Chicago.
About CEC Chicago
CEC Chicago began operations in 2001 with a portfolio of environmental work. In the following years, we began to build municipal solid waste work; by 2017, our environmental group and our waste group were of equally large size. That same year, we added air quality services and bolstered our civil engineering capabilities. We added a survey practice in 2018. Our acquisition of Roake and Associates, Inc. in December 2018 added to our civil engineering and surveying capabilities and dramatically increased our real estate/land development client network.
