Ryan Dunning
Mr. Dunning is a Principal Geologist with more than 30 years of experience in matters involving environmental and earth science. Mr. Dunning is responsible for technical program development and management, QA/QC technical review, technical staff training and administration, cost and schedule control, and client development and relations. He is experienced in environmental due diligence, due care, petroleum and industrial site investigation and remediation, UST management and corrective action, asbestos management, regulatory compliance and permitting, and facility decommissioning.  Additionally, Mr. Dunning has extensive experience associated with environmental real estate issues and brownfield redevelopment. He managed and performed numerous development feasibility studies for various clients including national retail chains, developers, and property owners.  The studies included reviewing zoning code requirements, site plan submittal schedule and provisions, costs associated with various municipal regulations and utilities connections, meetings with municipal planners and officials, and numerous other development related issues.  Application of these studies is particularly useful on brownfield redevelopment projects. Mr. Dunning managed and performed hundreds of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) across the country and in Canada for a variety of clients, including local governments, real estate developers, lending institutions, solid waste and mining companies, manufacturers, and utilities. Mr. Dunning is skilled in using these services to advise clients in general due diligence and risk management, environmental liability management, brownfield redevelopment and site triage, and mergers & acquisitions strategy. Mr. Dunning managed and performed of numerous asbestos building inspections for a variety of clients, including real estate developers, construction and demolition companies, lending institutions, and individual property owners.  When necessary for renovation or demolition purposes, oversight and management of abatement activities have been completed as well. He has managed underground storage tank removal and remediation projects for various petroleum and commercial companies at filling stations, bulk fuel plants, and commercial/industrial sites. Specific duties included work plan preparation, supervision and coordination of installation, removal, and remediation activities, coordination of numerous waste streams, verification sampling, and regulatory reporting, permitting, and communication.

Mr. Whittle has more than 35 years of experience in the solid waste industry. Over the course of his career, Mr. Whittle has held various leadership positions with solid waste hauling and disposal companies.  Mr. Whittle has provided direction for siting, zoning, permitting, construction, operation and environmental compliance of solid waste management facilities, including solid waste landfills, hauling companies, transfer stations and material recovery facilities. Project types included but were not limited to landfill expansions, earthwork and infrastructure development, leachate management including treatment, landfill gas extraction systems, gas-to-energy permitting and construction, final closure construction, post-closure maintenance and environmental remediation.
