ETC: Endangered Species Act (ESA) Compliance

August 26, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

Free

You’ll learn how the Endangered Species Act (ESA) is implemented, the criteria that are used to protect species, and the number and distribution of protected species. We will explain what is considered “take” and how project components can get authorized (Federal Agency Consultations) or permitted (Habitat Conservation Plans) to “take” a listed species. The course will also present information on similar state laws and provide an overview of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

0.4 CEUs available upon completion of this course.

About CEC’s Environmental Training Courses (CEC/ETC): CEC/ETC was created to educate and keep our clients and others in the industrial/commercial community up-to-date on regulatory programs that affect them. The program is structured around a group of core environmental regulatory topics that cover the basic needs of attendees in the regulatory areas of air, water, and waste management compliance.
