Featured Speakers
Robert Stewart, Ph.D., E.I.T.
Mr. Stewart is a hydraulic engineer who has worked to resolve issues relating to quantity, quality, and distribution of water and its constituents. He as an emphasis on hydraulics and sediment transport processes in open channel flows. Mr. Stewart's specific expertise in water resources can be summarized to include hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, and channel restoration design. Mr. Stewart has created hydraulic and sediment transport models to develop innovative solutions constrained by site-specific constraints to meet project goals. Mr. Stewart's work history includes development and modification of civil designs using hydraulic modeling, proposal writing for funding from state and federal agencies, collection of topographic surveys, geomorphic assessment of streams, and writing project reports.
Greg Lewis, P.E.
Mr. Lewis has over 35 years of experience in environmental and civil engineering. He is responsible for the management, administration, and technical adequacy of environmental and engineering planning, design, and construction projects. He has a diverse range of project experience, which includes solid waste management design, water and sewer system design, wastewater treatment design, water availability and site hydrology, street and drainage design, transportation planning, and parks and recreation planning and design. Prior to the establishment of ACE, in July 1997, Mr. Lewis served as a Senior Project Manager for RMT, Inc. (1993–97) and its predecessor in Texas, RMT/Jones and Neuse, Inc. and Jones and Neuse, Inc. (1985– 93). During his tenure with Jones and Neuse and its successors, Mr. Lewis' positions included Director of Environmental Engineering, Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager. Before joining JN, Mr. Lewis worked for the Texas Department of Water Resources a(TDWR) as a hydrologist in the Water Availability and Dam Safety Section and as a project engineer in the Construction Grants Division. As the office lead for the CEC Austin Office, Mr. Lewis is responsible for client relations and professional services contracting matters, as well as business development and the financial viability of the office. Mr. Lewis is ultimately for the day to day operations and management of the office staff including safety training, professional development and workload staffing and assignments. Additionally, Mr. Lewis is often an active project participant on technical matters and has experience in a diverse range of environmental engineering project types from the development of parks and recreation facilities to the design of large and complex infrastructure projects. Mr. Lewis' responsibilities included serving on the technical design teams as well as project management duties providing oversight and coordination of multiple project task managers and outside team members in a variety of technical disciplines.
