Tinkers Creek Watershed Partners Stormwater Webinar Series
April 20, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

CEC’s Steve Casey and Dustin Doherty will be presenting during the third webinar of the Tinkers Creek Watershed Partners Stormwater Webinar Series.
Nashville Zoo Stormwater Retrofit: Applying Level Spreader and Check Dam Design Principles to Restore Riparian Area and Protect Receiving Stream
This presentation will explore the challenges and constraints of dissipating the energy of runoff from a detention basin that had been scouring the riparian area adjacent to a stream at the Nashville Zoo as well as the ways in which off-site stormwater pollutants were captured to improve water quality.
Presenter: Steven E. Casey, P.E., CPESC
Stream Stabilization: Design Challenges and Lessons Learned
This presentation will explore the challenges and constraints of designing a stream with in-stream stabilization techniques that can be utilized as stand-alone measures or in conjunction with permanent bank stabilization techniques to prevent bank failure, achieve grade control, create riffles and restore stream sinuosity.
Presenter: Dustin Doherty, P.E., MS4-SCP, CPESC
