Vivek Pulikkal, Ph.D., P.E.
Vivek Pulikkal is a wastewater treatment engineer specializing in the process design of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. At CEC, he has contributed to treatment plant projects for aluminum rolling mills, iron mills, landfills, and pharmaceutical facilities.
He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering. His doctoral research focused on the destructive treatment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) through electrochemical mineralization. Vivek is also an experienced PFAS analytical specialist with expertise in LC‑MS/MS, adsorbable organic fluorine (AOF), total oxidizable precursor (TOP) assay, extractable organic fluorine (EOF), and total organic fluorine analysis. During his time at UNC Charlotte, he helped validate an analytical method for measuring AOF in drinking water.
