Bio

Mr. Bender has over 23 years of project management and design experience in a wide range of civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, sites, buildings, and parks. Through his many years and involvement in various project types, Mr. Bender has acquired knowledge in several areas of design, including hydraulic design of storm sewers and detention/retention ponds, water mains, sanitary sewers, pervious pavements, underground utilities, grading, erosion and sediment control, bicycle/pedestrian paths and facilities, and historic street rehabilitation.

In addition to his significant design capabilities, Mr. Bender has assisted owners in taking projects from start to finish. Such activities involve initial grant writing, scoping, design and detailing, public meetings and outreach, cost estimating, specification preparation, bidding documents and bidding, award assistance, and construction management.
