Bio
Ms. Westmor has nine years of archaeological experience. Five of those years she served as an Archaeological Field Supervisor and as an Archaeological Field Technician throughout Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. She has gained extensive experience conducting visual inspections, surface collection surveys, shovel testing surveys, and feature excavations. Her lab experience includes artifact cataloguing, creation of artifact databases, and artifact analysis. She has worked with Trimble GPS, optical transits, and total stations. She has aided in topographical, historical, and magnetometry map interpretation. She has completed historical record checks, project review forms, site reports, and survey reports. Ms. Westmor has also worked for the Tell Timai Project in Egypt since 2011, where she has helped and supervised feature excavations, organized and assisted with artifact processing and analysis, taught new archaeologists in general field methods and lab skills, written season reports, and presented her findings in peer-reviewed publications and at professional conferences around the world.
