Mr. Snyder has over 34 years of experience in cultural resource management. Since 2005 he has been located in Indianapolis, working extensively on transportation related projects reviewed by the INDOT and the DHPA along with energy related projects reviewed by SHPOs in PA, OH, IL, IA, WV, KY, and NC. As a contract archaeologist for the Pittsburgh District USACE his duties included acting as co-principal investigator for a Phase III investigation, conducting Phase I archaeological survey, as well as authoring and reviewing Phase I reports. He has supervised and managed as many as 25 field technicians at various prehistoric and historic archaeological sites throughout the Midwest. He has supervised all aspects of cultural resources management investigations, including pre-field investigations and work plan development, field work at Phase I/II/III levels, site mapping, prehistoric and historic artifact analysis, and report writing. A project of note includes a multi-year, 240 mile pipeline running from Montana to Illinois where he was the project manager and lead archaeologist for the section traversing Iowa reports were submitted to the Iowa SHPO and the FERC. Mr. Snyder has extensive geoarchaeological background and he has worked with state preservation agencies in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
