Mr. Torres has an extensive professional experience in the environmental consulting industry including brownfield investigation and remediation, underground storage tanks and due-diligence projects within Chicagoland area.
Mr. Torres has conducted soil, groundwater, soil gas, sediment, surface water, drinking water and groundwater sampling investigations and overseen remediation activities including UST removal, PCB-containing hydraulic lifts and transformers removal and soil clean-ups. Mr. Torres has directed subsurface explorations including the advancement of soil borings using direct-push methods and the installation of groundwater and soil gas monitoring wells.
Mr. Torres has assisted in the implementation of environmental investigations for commercial and industrial properties including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Focused and Comprehensive Site Investigations (SRP Program). Mr. Torres is very knowledgeable of the Tiered Approach to Corrective Action Objectives (TACO), Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST) and Clean Construction Demolition Debris (CCDD) regulations. Mr. Torres has prepared Preliminary Environmental Site Assessments (PESA) and Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) reports for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
Mr. Torres has design and implement in-situ remediation technologies for remediation of hydrocarbons and solvents inclusive of soil vapor and multi-phase extraction systems.
