Bio
Matthew Bean has years of professional experience in Archaeology and has spent most of his career performing fieldwork in the Southeastern United States. He has undertaken surveys in several environments and in all weather conditions. Matthew has been involved as a field technician in Phases I, II, and III, and been a field director for many Phase I surveys. Matthew has used total stations, Trimble units, and Garmins in field work. He has collected, cleaned, and analyzed artifacts, which were then organized and sent for long term storage at several facilities in the Southeast. Matthew is currently an embedded consultant in the Tennessee Department of Transportation, where he ensures all DOT projects maintain Section 106 compliance.
