Bio

Mr. Buck has more than ten years of geotechnical and civil engineering experience on a variety of projects. This experience covers many facets of geotechnical engineering, including subsurface exploratory techniques, slope analyses, site reconnaissance, ground improvement techniques, and the design of foundations, retaining walls, reinforced soil slopes, and landslide remediations.  Mr. Buck has designed, performed, and managed numerous geotechnical investigations for site development projects ranging from small modifications to existing facilities to full scale site developments for new facilities. The investigations included obtaining data, presenting opinions on the soil, bedrock, and groundwater conditions, and developing conclusions and recommendations for earthwork construction, pavement design, foundation design, earth retention systems, mining hazards, and landslide remediations.  Mr. Buck has extensive experience in the preparation of geotechnical deliverables including technical reports, construction drawings, earthwork and specialty specifications, engineering estimates, and construction compliance reports. In addition, Mr. Buck is proficient in geotechnical analyses for settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability, liquification, retaining walls, deep foundations, and high strength steel mesh and soil nail retention systems.

Mr. Buck has experience in industries such as Natural Gas, Commercial Real Estate, Power Distribution, and the Public Sector, and has managed projects with constricted schedules and challenging geologic conditions.
