Vivek Pulikkal is a wastewater treatment engineer with a passion for process design of water and wastewater treatment systems. At CEC, he has worked on projects related to industrial wastewater treatment, industrial deionized and potable water treatment, landfill leachate treatment, and evaluation of small-scale residential sewage treatment plants.

He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Environmental Engineering, during which he worked on destructive treatment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) using electrochemical mineralization. He is a PFAS analytical expert with experience on LC-MS/MS, adsorbable organic fluorine (AOF), TOP assay, extractable organic fluorine (EOF) and total organic fluorine analysis of PFAS. He was also part of validating a method on adsorbable organic fluorine analysis for PFAS in drinking water.
