The Courier (Findlay, Ohio) reports Hancock County commissioners voted to hire a Toledo firm to oversee the cleanup of contaminated soil along the Blanchard River downtown.

The lead-contaminated soil is located east and west of Main Street north of the river. Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) of Toledo, will be paid $95,000 to oversee the cleanup. One of its jobs will be to write the cleanup specifications which companies will use to submit competitive bids to win a contract to do the cleanup.
