The Tribune-Review (Greensburg, PA) reports in the past year, developers have announced proposals for hyperscale data centers, massive facilities mostly focused on artificial intelligence, in nearly every county in the region.

Michael Archer, a civil engineer with Moon Township-based Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc., said his company is involved in about a dozen data center projects in Western Pennsylvania.
