The St. Louis Business Journal’s specialty trade contractors ranking saw notable movement, with electrical contractors continuing to dominate the industry’s largest employers.

This ranking includes specialty trade contractors operating in the St. Louis region and is ranked by local employees.

CEC landed at No. 37 on this year’s list.

The 129 largest specialty trade contractors in the St. Louis area employ more than 10,560 local employees. Local is defined as St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Washington and Jefferson counties and the city of St. Louis in Missouri; and St. Clair, Madison, Jersey, Clinton, Calhoun, Macoupin, Bond and Monroe counties in Illinois.
