CEC inspects and maintains stormwater facilities to ensure stormwater infrastructure is functioning per design and regulatory permitting requirements. Properly functioning and maintained stormwater management facilities result in improved water quality, reduced stormwater runoff, and reduced nonpoint source pollution to surface waters (rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, etc.) within our communities. Poorly maintained facilities decrease efficiency and pollutant removal rates, and create environmental hazards such as flooding, sink holes and surface water contamination.
