For 4 consecutive years, CEC Bridgeport has sponsored the city’s Light Up Night event, put on by the Better Business of Bridgeport organization. In years past, the organization closes Main Street to vehicles to create a festival area with multiple music stages and food vendors. This year, due to COVID-19, the event was transitioned to be a drive-through celebration where 500 gift bags were handed out. Special thanks to Amy Miller and Lori Miller who coordinated with the city for the Bridgeport office to be a part of this event.
During this year’s event, a crew filmed a movie called “Light Up Night” starring actor Dean Cain, who is playing the mayor. The highlight of the event is always Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the tree followed by fireworks, but this year Dean also helped to light the tree. CEC’s Daniel Martinez and Marcus Spina represented CEC at the event and were extras in the tree lighting for the filming of the movie.
