CEC Nashville Team Members Volunteer at WaterFest

June 30, 2021

Christine Guy-Baker and Janette Wolf of CEC Nashville recently participated in the Goodlettsville WaterFest sponsored by the Cumberland River Compact. They volunteered their time to present educational activity booths that focused on stormwater quality. By presenting the hands-on activity “Freddie the Fish” at Moss-Wright Park, our volunteers were able to help children see the impact we have on animals and their environment.

CEC’s volunteers joined the City of Goodlettsville, Sumner County, City of Hendersonville, Tennessee State Parks, and the Tennessee Environmental Council for the event which reached 208 people, including 142 children.

Every year at the Goodlettsville WaterFest, attendees can learn about the importance of water quality through engaging environmental-based activities. Volunteers take action to contribute their knowledge to connect children to their local waters.
