CEC Bridgeport Donates to Doddridge Future Farmers of America

August 6, 2021
CEC Bridgeport recently made a $2,500 donation to the Doddridge Future Farmers of America (FFA). This donation will be used to help renovate their 87,000-square-foot facility in hopes of building classrooms, an aquatic center, and building pins for the animals. With the 160 acres the facility is located on, they will also be able to teach forestry classes.

FFA is a youth organization that aims to improve the lives of members and prepares them for successful leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA helps develop members’ potential with hands-on experience to become chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, and bankers, among many other fields.

Eli Gain, assistant project manager in CEC Bridgeport’s survey/geospatial practice, says CEC chose to make this donation because they believe in FFA’s goal of promoting better futures for our youth, and he wanted to give back to his home county.

“This donation was about helping the organization and helping them create a great facility for the youth that are involved,” Eli says. “Doddridge County has a great deal of work coming up in the future and I want to do my part in helping make their future better. Anytime I think CEC can help out the youth members involved, I will try and do my best to get them that help.”
