CEC Phoenix’s Lee Reforma Completes His 5th Half Marathon

November 22, 2021

Lee Reforma, a civil designer at CEC Phoenix, recently completed the 46th annual 3TV Phoenix Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 44 minutes, 45 seconds, a pace of 8:00 per mile. His finishing time placed him 100th overall out of 418 half marathoners, 79th out of 259 male runners, and 18th out of 36 male runners between the ages of 35 and 39.

A former United States Tennis Association junior tennis player in high school who competed all across Texas, Lee began running in 2009 as a way to get back into competitive sports.

The 3TV Phoenix Half Marathon marked his fifth half marathon. He also has competed in numerous other running events, from as short as a 1-mile race to a 50-kilometer ultramarathon. Lee also has competed in various triathlons, from sprint distance to Ironman distance.

This half marathon marked Lee’s first race in a little over a year, after races in 2020 largely were virtual or canceled.

“It was great to be at an event again, competing with other people in one place,” Lee says. “I’m always looking for the next race to sign up for. I just enjoy endurance sports and training toward the goal of completing a tough, physical challenge.”
