CEC Charlotte volunteered to assist in sorting donated household items at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMetrolina) on October 12, 2022. SHMetrolina provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need. The organization serves 24 counties in the Carolinas. SHMetrolina annually distributes more than 82 million pounds of food and other household items throughout the Carolinas.
CEC Charlotte volunteered at the regional distribution located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our team sorted through thousands of donated items from CVS stores. Duties included sorting and discarding expired over-the-counter drugs and sorting household items sold in stores.
