Brian Powers, P.E., joins CEC Charlotte as a Principal in our Water Resources practice. Brian has over 38 years of experience working in engineering consulting and with various original equipment manufacturers serving the power and industrial market sectors. 

In his previous role, Brian was responsible for managing multiple projects, schedule development and updates, client interface, budget management and control, and deliverable quality. He has experience with various industrial water and wastewater treatment processes including a plethora of filtration techniques, ion exchange processes, oil/water separators, flue gas desulfurization treatment, pH neutralization systems, chemical storage, and more. Brian also has extensive knowledge in pressure hydraulic flow modeling and design of pumping systems having successfully sized and selected thousands of pumps and fluid flow-related systems.

Brian has a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Murray State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
