Lindsey Turtle has joined CEC as a Principal in our Nashville office, where she will lead and expand the firm’s Waste Management practice. Lindsey brings more than two decades of experience in the solid waste industry, combining deep technical expertise with a proven track record of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship.
Lindsey most recently served in a general management role, where she was responsible for overall financial performance, operations, and strategic direction. She oversaw a cross-functional team across operations, sales, and maintenance, while working closely with regulators, contractors, and local stakeholders.
She began her career as an environmental professional and hydrogeologist, building a strong technical foundation in regulatory compliance, groundwater and air programs, and environmental project management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and has earned multiple Lean Six Sigma certifications, reflecting her commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
An active industry leader, Lindsey serves as Director of the SWANA Landfill Technical Division and is passionate about mentorship and advancing leadership within the environmental sector.
At CEC, she will focus on delivering innovative, client-centered waste management solutions while growing the firm’s presence across the region. We are excited to welcome Lindsey to the team and look forward to the leadership and expertise she brings to our Nashville office.

After the acquisition, CEC Nashville’s connection to the transportation industry remained a large focus of our business, but our client base also diversified. Our current market sector groups are broadly divided among public sector, real estate, and solid waste, with a smaller presence in mining, power, and manufacturing.
Our office provides services in civil/site engineering, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, survey/geospatial, ecological sciences, waste management, environmental engineering, water resource engineering, traffic/transportation, and GIS. We specialize in ecosystem restoration, mitigation banking, listed species, wetland and stream determinations, floodplain management and modeling, MS4 permits and compliance, wastewater engineering, solid waste management, site planning and engineering design, landscape architecture, due diligence services, survey, municipal engineering and infrastructure, and construction inspection services.
