CEC Nashville is pleased to welcome Daniel Nyberg, P.E., to the team as a Principal in our Waste Management practice. Daniel is a civil engineer with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative solutions across the solid waste, remediation, oil and gas, and federal markets.
Daniel brings extensive experience managing complex permitting, site design, and project management efforts for landfills, coal combustion residual (CCR) impoundment design and closure, oil and gas facilities, power generation infrastructure, rail intermodal facilities, and federal installations. He also specializes in stormwater management, landfill permitting and expansion, environmental remediation, and infrastructure development. Throughout his career, Daniel has led projects from planning through construction, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating permitting and design efforts.
Daniel is a licensed professional engineer in eight states. He earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas.

CEC Nashville opened in 1998 with the acquisition of a small transportation engineering firm. After the acquisition, CEC Nashville’s connection to the transportation industry remained a large focus, but our client base diversified. Our current market sector groups are broadly divided among public sector, real estate, and solid waste, with a smaller presence in mining, power, and manufacturing. Our office provides services in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, survey/geospatial, ecological sciences, waste management, environmental engineering, water resource engineering, traffic/transportation, and GIS.
