A proposal to turn a bluff overlooking Pittsburgh International Airport into a cutting-edge innovation campus has received a boost from the state.

On Wednesday, Gov. Tom Wolf announced a $2 million grant for the project. The money will be used to help prepare the site for development and to install utilities, said Bob Kerlik, spokesman for the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which oversees Pittsburgh International.
