Owner Objective
People’s Bank & Trust Co., a regional banking staple around Oklahoma City area for more than 100 years, provides business and personal banking, and in 2016, the Small Business Administration (SBA) granted the bank Preferred Lenders Program (PLP) status. PLP status is awarded to high-volume SBA lenders that delegate loan approval, servicing, and liquidation authority, which enables the bank to make loan decisions with quicker turnaround times.
People’s sought to expand its presence in the region by building its second full-service branch, this time in Edmond, Oklahoma, northwest of Oklahoma City. The bank’s goal is to bring its well-known, small-town customer service to neighboring communities.
CEC Approach
CEC utilized an efficient design approach to maximize the let over the developable area while ensuring People’s received the facilities they desired. The site development project was located on a 3-acre tract in Edmond. It consisted of a bank building with associated parking and utilities, public water and sewer main extensions, and stormwater detention facilities. The site was planned to allow for future expansions and the ability to carve out a tract for sale.
The new facility has been operational since 2017.
