Toledo’s Recent CEC Community Events

July 15, 2019

As a dual CECFit! and CEC Community event, the Toledo office recently participated in the five-person Relay of the Glass City Marathon. As a relay, the full marathon is broken up into five legs. The runners were Jim Adams, Kellie Adams (Jim’s daughter), Nick Faust, Nick Bohland, and Chris Bohland (Nick’s brother). The office and their families helped the relay team fundraise $250 to benefit the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity.

In addition, the Toledo office is currently taking part in collecting aluminum pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, which is a nonprofit organization that provides a home-like environment as well as essential resources and services for families who have children receiving medical treatment. The pull tabs that are collected can be from any container and are sent to a local recycler that turns the tabs into money for their family fund. So far, the office has filled and delivered one container of pull tabs and will be collecting them on a continual basis.
