CEC is proud to have recently launched CEC iDEA, a resource group within our firm whose goal is to promote a culture that welcomes and celebrates all walks of life and increase inclusion, diversity, and opportunities within CEC and our communities.
CEC iDEA aims to advocate the following principles:
i – Inclusion as central to professional life
D – Diversity in the workforce
E – Equality in opportunity
A – Awareness to understand, respect, and appreciate others
CEC iDEA will work closely with human resources, talent acquisition, and other departments to develop innovative ways to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
Within the past year, CEC hired Dan Reiter, Director of Talent Acquisition, and Dave Pritts, Vice President of Human Resources. Dan and Dave will work with CEC iDEA to assess CEC’s recruiting tactics and company culture and proactively work with CEC iDEA to enhance diversity, equity, equality, and inclusion efforts. Dan and the recruiting team are already establishing relationships with Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCUs). Everyone can help in finding new ways to promote CEC to our candidates and communities.
The CEC iDEA team also recognizes the benefit of community outreach in helping to show marginalized communities all CEC has to offer, drawing interest to our services, and strengthening CEC’s footprints across our nationwide markets.
CEC iDEA is eager to create a space for open and honest conversations, for people to share their experiences, and to collaborate on ways to promote new opportunities while endorsing a culture of inclusivity. At CEC, we know we can advance, diversity, equality, inclusion and awareness together.
