A group from CEC Bridgeport recently participated in United Way’s global Day of Action in Barbour County, West Virginia. Our group volunteered their time to paint, landscape, and power wash in the Philippi area to help complete ongoing projects through the Tygart Valley United Way.
More than 200 volunteers participated in 28 projects across Tygart Valley’s five-county region on the Day of Action, the largest group of volunteers in its history.
Each year during United Way’s global Day of Action, thousands of people around the world take action to improve their communities by volunteering to improve the quality of their lives, with a focus on education, financial stability, and health.
“Whether we’re giving back to school boards or food drives, we like to really get entrenched in the communities where we work. It’s important to us to be involved as civil and social leaders with providing what is needed in the community,” Devanna Corley, CEC Bridgeport’s director of strategic client development, told WVnews.com.
