CEC Bridgeport makes $5K Donation to The Clarksburg Mission

September 6, 2021

CEC Bridgeport recently made a $5,000 donation to The Clarksburg Mission to help fund flooring renovations in its Glen Elk facility. The donation came as part of an ongoing fundraising effort to celebrate the Christian nonprofit organization’s 50th anniversary.Bridgeport Clarksburg Mission donation

At a recent Harrison County (W.Va.) Commission meeting, representatives from our Bridgeport office heard about the Mission’s need for additional funding, and former CEC intern Maggie Miller suggested donating.

“After a brief discussion with office leadership, it was apparent we needed to step up,” Devanna Corley, director of strategic client development at CEC Bridgeport, told WVnews.com. “The CEC contribution makes the need complete for this specific project that will have a positive and lasting impact in the region for years to come. It is CEC Bridgeport’s pleasure to provide this much-needed gift to our community.”

The Clarksburg Mission strives to provide comfort, reassurance and resources to those in need. The Mission provides emergency shelter through a welcome room and also provides transitional housing through a dorm program, homeless veterans program, and more. The Mission has grown from an emergency homeless shelter to a community outreach center.
