CEC Cleveland is pleased to welcome Robert B. Parker, P.E., to the team as our civil engineering practice lead. Bob brings 31 years of diverse expertise to our Cleveland office, where he will leverage his extensive experience in transportation and municipal engineering, as well as his relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to help foster continued growth across our civil engineering practice. Throughout his career, Bob has been primarily involved with the replacement and rehabilitation of bridges, local roadways, and highways, and he also has served as a liaison for the public on major projects.

Having spent the majority of his career working in and around northeast Ohio, Bob provides municipal engineering services to several communities in the area. He has provided engineering support that includes stormwater management, underground utility design and construction management, roadway and bridge design and construction management, public involvement, National Environmental Policy Act studies, right-of-way acquisition, safety studies, traffic analysis, slope stabilization, retaining wall design, owner’s representative services and funding applications. He is a founding member of the Association of Bridge Construction and Design’s Northeast Ohio chapter. He also has providing civil engineering services for clients in Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Missouri, and New York.

Bob is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Virginia, a member of the Great Lakes chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers, and has served on the American Council of Engineering Companies Transportation Committee for the past 17 years. He served as a mentor in the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Mentor-Protégé program, where the firm he mentored grew their net revenue from $100,000 to more than $5 million annually.

Bob is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. After graduating, he served 10 months as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, where he was a training officer for the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command.
