CEC Cincinnati participated in the Summit Park Earth Day Festival on Earth Day! The theme of the festival was the “7 Rs of Sustainability: Recycle, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Re-gift and Recover”.
Cincinnati employees volunteered to help educate festivalgoers about watersheds, wetland delineations, stream restorations, and bat surveys. The team handed out maps of the park which highlighted the surrounding watershed, local plant life, and possible wetlands throughout the park. The Cincinnati volunteers had a great time informing festival attendees about the many different ways they can help be sustainable on Earth Day and every day.
CEC Philadelphia also participated in Earth Day festivities, helping with a local park cleanup. The Philadelphia team helped clean up Forsythia Crossing Park, almost filling up an entire garbage truck! After the cleanup, a picnic was held at Core Creek with tailgating, games, and lunch.
