Matt Cochran, P.W.S., joins CEC Cincinnati as a Project Manager III in our Ecological Sciences practice. Matt has over 22 years of experience with project management for a range of natural resource projects involving wetlands, streams, dam removal, lakes, and fjords. He is an expert in all aspects of wetland and stream restoration, including feasibility studies, initial design, detailed design, construction oversight, and compliance monitoring. With Matt’s addition, our Cincinnati operations have expanded their wetland and stream design capabilities.
During his 19-year international tenure in Denmark, Matt held the role of Nature Restoration Area Manager and was responsible for coordination, bid process management, project estimation, scheduling, and staffing of wetland and stream restoration projects throughout Denmark. Matt also has extensive experience in wetland delineation, stream evaluations, and threatened and endangered species surveys.
Matt has a master’s degree in environmental science, with a focus on wetland restoration ecology, from The Ohio State University. He is a registered Professional Wetland Scientist (P.W.S.) with the Society of Wetland Scientists and has served as Treasurer of the European Chapter since 2017.
