We are pleased to share that Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. will continue to offer free training courses in 2022!

Our logo looks a little different from past years because we have rebranded and changed the name to Educational Training Courses. This rebrand is meant to be more inclusive of the wide range of content we plan to share with you this year and in years to come! 

All courses will continue to be offered at no cost in a Microsoft Teams virtual format and will be co-taught by CEC’s subject matter experts, so you know you’ll be in good hands. Find the course(s) most relevant to you and register today at cecinc.com/etc.

Endangered Species Act Compliance

This is an introductory course on the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Tailored for a broad range of professionals faced with projects that may have impacts to threatened or endangered species. You will learn how to navigate the ESA compliance process. We will provide basic information on the content of ESA, other related state and federal laws, and alternative pathways to ensure compliance. Your instructors will cover obtaining “take” authorizations under Section 7 (Federal Agency Consultations), and obtaining a “take” permit under Section 10. Participants are encouraged to share specific examples of ESA compliance challenges they have faced.

Clean Water Act and NPDES Overview

You’ll learn the basics of water regulations, including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) plans; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP); and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans. We cover regulations at the federal and the state level.
