CEC Columbus is excited to welcome Jeremy Van Ostran to the team as a Principal in our Survey/Geospatial practice. Jeremy brings over 26 years of surveying experience managing both small and large-scale projects. He specializes in boundary surveys ranging up to 12,500 acres, American Land Title Association/National Society of Professional Surveyors surveys, right-of-way projects, utility corridor surveys and layout, Federal Emergency Management Agency elevations surveys, Letters of Map Amendments and Revisions, complex construction layout, and engineering topographic surveys for both private development and public improvement projects. Jeremy is pre-qualified as an Ohio Department of Transportation Right-of-Way Reviewer and Designer since 2004.
Before joining CEC, Jeremy served as the survey department lead of multiple offices, overseeing the daily operations of offices with several field crews to offices with just four employees. Outside of several survey projects, Jeremy was responsible for all business development, client management, cost proposals, Request for Qualifications, and invoicing while also providing mentoring to younger staff.
Jeremy has a bachelor’s degree in geomatics engineering from the Ohio State University. He is a licensed professional surveyor in Ohio and Kentucky and a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.

It has now grown into a full-service office that supports each of our markets with diversity across the professional disciplines. CEC Columbus employs civil engineers, surveyors, biologists, geologists, and environmental scientists. Their main revenue sources currently include real estate development, natural gas development, and aggregate mining permitting and development.
